Opera Mini

Image
Hey guys. I just want to share this little tool to you as it helps me a lot in surfing the web. Opera Mini Opera Mini is a web browser optimized for mobile phones, smartphones and personal digital assistants; Opera being the name of the desktop version. The current version of Mini is 7.1 -- for Java phones, at least. 12 and 12.1 for Symbian and Android respectively. I'm using this mobile browser for almost 3 years now and it helped me a lot in doing homeworks, reviewing for an exam, social networking and keeping abreast with the latest news in mobile technology. I also use it in downloading songs, images, videos, themes and games. Surf more, for less the money This is where I love Opera Mini. Before it sends webpages to your phone, it compresses images and other elements which results to faster surfing and less data consumed. If you're in a tight data plan, Opera Mini is a great tool for your browsing needs. You can download Opera Mini by clicking the image abo...

Ubuntu: Linux for Human Beings

Image
Hey there Doodlers! I know some of you are fans of Ubuntu. I for one, am a fan, too because it's free! Haha By the way here's the Ubuntu story just in case it's your first time to meet the free and open-source operating system. The Ubuntu Story ubuntu |oǒ'boǒntoō|   Ubuntu is an ancient African word meaning 'humanity to others'. It also means 'I am what I am because of who we all are'. The Ubuntu operating system brings the spirit of Ubuntu to the world of computers. Where did it all begin?   Linux was already established as an enterprise server platform in 2004. But free software was still not a part of everyday life for most computer users. That's why Mark Shuttleworth gathered a small team of developers from one of the most established Linux projects – Debian - and set out to create an easy-to-use Linux desktop, Ubuntu. The vision for Ubuntu is part social and part economic: free software, available free of charge to every...

Mozilla: The Web is the Platform

Image
I know this is REALLY late. But here it is either way. A couple of weeks ago, I've published a post containing our pictures after the MozTour and I promised to write an update about the things discussed during the seminar. So let's start shall we? Mozilla Persona Now, this thing is really cool. It shares some of its goals with some similar authentication systems like OpenID or Facebook Connect, but it is different in several ways: 1. It uses email addresses as identifiers; 2. It is more focused on privacy; and, 3. Is intended to be fully integrated in the browser. Simply put, Persona kind of acts like your key to all the sites that you have signed up. Instead of creating accounts for each website you visit regularly, all you have to do is to type in your email address and you're good to go. No more "Forgotten Password/Username"s which is really annoying. Some notable websites that feature Persona are Trovebox , The Times Crossword , and Voost ...

Kids Next Door

Image
Perhaps one of the great things you can do to kids is make fun of them. And here is a couple of  videos from Jimmy Kimmel which I find rather hilarious. (I can't even get over it!) "It's important to be honest with kids but it's even more important that they are honest with us." - Jimmy Kimmel  8+8 = 14! WTF! And peeing in the pool is fun! LOL ^_^
